Learning a second language offers numerous personal, social and professional benefits. It enables individuals to communicate with people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, thereby promoting understanding and stronger relationships. Knowledge of another language also provides opportunities to explore different cultures, traditions and perspectives. From a professional point of view, multilingual individuals may have access to wider career opportunities, particularly in international organisations and workplaces. Furthermore, learning a new language improves cognitive functions such as memory, concentration, problem-solving and mental flexibility. It also develops confidence and adaptability when interacting in unfamiliar situations. Thus, learning a second language is not merely an academic achievement but a valuable life skill that can broaden one’s worldview and contribute significantly to both personal growth and professional development.

5(b) Analytical Paragraph – Smartphone and Computer Sales

Sales Trend of Smartphones and Computers (2019–2024)

The table presents the sales trends of smartphones and computers from 2019 to 2024. Smartphone sales increased consistently from 200 units in 2019 to 900 units in 2024. Computer sales also showed an overall upward trend, rising from 100 units in 2019 to 800 units in 2024. Smartphones remained ahead of computers from 2019 to 2022, with the difference being greatest in 2021 at 300 units. In 2023, both products recorded equal sales of 700 units. However, smartphone sales again exceeded computer sales in 2024 by 100 units. The data indicates strong and sustained growth in both categories. Overall, smartphones experienced a slightly higher growth rate and remained the more popular product throughout most of the period.
